Florida FPSP FAQ's"
(Frequently Asked Questions)
What are the differences between FPS and Odyssey of the Mind?

I received some FPS information and a registration form for this year, but don't see any dates for our region? (Tallahassee)
No District exists up in your area right now.  Your area would fall in the "Open" district.  Perhaps you will like the program and one will start!  We will assist you in any way we can.
Do you have a schedule yet?
Schedules are being updated constantly for regions with District Representatives.  If you are not currently in a FL FPSP district you can set up your own dates and schedules but we recommend following the time frame you see for existing districts so as to not be too far ahead or behind the State recommend time frames.
We are a small new charter school and I only teach four classes, a total of 30 gifted kids in grades K-8.
I would like to get appropriate materials to use with each age group class I teach (k-2, 3, 4-5 and 6-8)?
(see next question)
I can't figure out how to order the materials without signing up any teams?
You may order any materials using the registration form without actually registering a team.
It is an excellent way to learn and teach kids the process - and not expensive.  This would count as your one registration and allow you to buy the others, also.  Once you have the materials, copy as much as you want.
I want the year's problems, the community problem solving materials, the curricular materials and possibly the scenario materials, if we can afford it.  Can you help me?
Scenario materials & fees are on the registration form.
CmPS materials and fees are on the registration form.
Primary/Curricular materials are on the registration form.
You could easily use that packet for all levels of students that you are teaching this year.
Are there any other FL-FPSP Components?
Another component is Action Based Problem Solving - this is a nice component that can be used in the classroom.
