FLORIDA’S RESULTS:
18 Florida Awards!!!

Community Problem Solving(CmPS):
1st place was awarded in the Senior Division category of Environmental and Human Services to Matanzas High School’s “CAPS.” Project (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)
Team members:  Eric Adams, Shea Birney, Derek Cabrera, Jesse Flach, Cody Krimpelman, Jeff Ocampo, Nick Pena and Jeff Ziolkowski.  Coach:  Anita Ocampo

This project focused on getting an AED placed in each school in Flagler County, getting the school board policy changed to require all coaches and administrators to be trained in CPR and AEDs and to promote CPR training in the schools and the community.  As a result of this project, all eight (8) Flagler county schools have received or been pledged an AED.  Team members are still working on the school board policy.  During the year, they assisted in the training of over 100 people in our community in CPR and AEDs..
